Description

The intersection of law with deeply held religious beliefs can profoundly impact a person’s life. The UMKC Law & Religious Freedom Conference provides a safe forum where competing viewpoints on these powerful topics are civilly and respectfully discussed. This year’s conference will address a case involving Missouri’s Blaine Amendment which is now before the U.S. Supreme Court, current religious freedom and LGBTQ Issues, religion and healthcare, and religion in education.  A portion of the conference proceeds will be donated to Legal Aid of Western Missouri.
