Jackson County CASA Description
Mission: Our mission is the be a child's voice in court. We recruit, train and support lay volunteers who act as advocates on behalf of the best interest of abused and neglected children.
Role: Jackson County CASA was founded by the Kansas City chapter of the national Council of Jewish Women to ensure that abused and neglected children in our metropolitan area are given a voice in Court. We have two goals: (1) to secure a safe, permanent home for the child; and (2) to advocate for appropriate medical, educational, and therapeutic resources while the child is under Court jurisdiction.
For more information about CASA’s Pro Bono Program or other inquiries, please contact Judith Westmoreland, jwestmoreland@jacksoncountycasa-mo.org.
