Elimination of Bias:

Improving Cultural Competency Through Travel

Tuesday, November 12, 2024 - Webinar Replay

Discover how travel can uncover cultural assumptions and reduce bias. Dean Barb Glesner-Fines will explore how cultural fluency enhances client representation and tackle the challenge of eliminating implicit bias. While complete elimination may be impossible, we can change the content of cognitive shortcuts and interrupt their operation to prevent unfair actions. Inspired by Mark Twain's belief that "travel is fatal to prejudice," this seminar provides practical tools to mitigate bias and broaden your perspectives.
