A Training Workshop on Mediating Civil Cases
Monday - Wednesday; June 2 - 4, 2025 - In-Person only
The three-day basic civil mediation workshop tailored for attorneys. The workshop incorporates a theoretical overview and addresses practical issues. It focuses on skill-building and provides practical tools and strategies. It incorporates experiential learning activities as much as possible and involves simulated mediations providing individualized feedback to participants.

We typically conduct six simulated mediations and assign parts so that each participant acts as mediator and receives intensive coaching in at least 2 mediations.
This 3-day general civil mediation training exceeds regulatory requirements for training as a mediator within the State of Missouri and complies with guidelines for inclusion on the civil mediator lists maintained by The Missouri Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the U.S. District Courts for the Western District of Missouri. After subtracting time for breaks, lunch, review, etc., it provides 23 Missouri Continuing Legal Education hours.
