Michael Conrath is the director and architect of the annual Guide to Retirement that JPMorgan
publishes. They use consumer data from the banking side of the business, trends from the
JPMorgan Investment Management side of the business, and participant data from the 401(k) plans
that they administer, to pull together the most comprehensive analysis in the industry. It is
estimated that JPMorgan Chase touches slightly more than 50% of all American households
through one of their core businesses. Others in the industry rely upon this annual publication to
observe trends in saving, spending, and investing in our country.
