The Sixth Annual Midwest Symposium on Social Entrepreneurship offers a forum to continue the advancement of social entrepreneurship thinking, teaching and practice, promote collaborative exchange of knowledge and experience, and facilitate discussions among business and nonprofit practitioners, teachers, researchers, funders, government, and others interested in sharing and shaping ideas and learning focused on community building and promoting successful social entrepreneurship.

The 2018 Midwest Symposium on Social Entrepreneurship, a unique one-day symposium on social entrepreneurship that will convene in Kansas City on May 21, 2018. The symposium is a joint program of the UMKC School of Law, the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership, the Bloch School of Management at UMKC, and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. It is designed to bring together those who are interested in engaging in social entrepreneurship. This symposium brings together in Kansas City a great team of national and local experts on social entrepreneurship. These experts will present a set of workshops designed to facilitate an exchange of knowledge and experience among nonprofit and business practitioners, educators, funders, and others interested in sharing and shaping the practice of social entrepreneurship.
