This symposium will focus on a wide range of issues surrounding race and other identity characteristics in professional and collegiate sports industries, including race and settlement of the NFL concussion litigation, the intersection of race and gender in professional and collegiate sports hiring, the name, image and likeness (NIL) issues surrounding collegiate sports, the COVID-19 crisis in professional and collegiate sports, and the intersection of race & gender in mental health and professional and collegiate sports.
